Olena Tolstokora, also known as Bravebirdie, was born in 1997 in Kharkiv, Ukraine, and is currently based in Vancouver, Canada. She moved 2 years ago because of the war.
Olena is a visual artist, predominantly working in digital art, painting, and drawing. Her distinctive artistic approach is marked by the use of ready-made light sources in combination with traditional materials such as wood, metal, paint, and glass. Olena is best known for her artistic style, which is defined by its raw, bold, and pure nature.
Olena’s work delves into profound themes, exploring the nature of adulthood, empathy, hopecore, and war.
Bravebirdie has gained recognition through her participation in exhibitions worldwide. Her works have been showcased at esteemed venues such as the Villa Daumier Gallery in Paris, France; MOM Art Gallery in Hamburg, Germany; SYNdicate Gallery in Tokyo, Japan; and more.
